NFP's breakdown of players who struggled Saturday at Combine

1. Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin: Not only did Frederick run the slowest 40 of the offensive linemen (In the 5.6’s depending on the scout we spoke), but he did not impress in the positional drills. He looked slow during the drills and as a scout told us he looked like a bad athlete. This is a concern because Frederick was viewed as a good athlete who struggled at times on film due to bad technique, but now teams need to double check the film to make sure those struggles were not due to a lack of athleticism

2. Larry Warford, OG, Kentucky: Warford disappointed by running a 5.58 40 and was extremely sluggish out of the blocks with a 1.92 10 yard split, the slowest of the day. His technique was sloppy and he looked uncomfortable athletically, which will likely lead to some scouts taking a closer look at film because he is viewed as such a second or third round prospect. His grade should not change based on a bad workout, but the workout should act as a red flag to make scouts/teams re-watch the film to make sure they have evaluated his on-field athleticism and production correctly.

3. Levine Toilolo, TE, Stanford: Toilolo is extremely tall and he looked stiff and robotic in all drills when trying to change directions and adjusting to the ball in the air. He was unnatural trying to catch the ball away from his body and had numerous drops in multiple drills. Today’s display definitely makes us question why Toilolo entered the Draft early when he could have stayed another season at Stanford to try and improve.

4. Mark Jackson, OG, Glenville State: After dominating at a small school and showing flashes of good athleticism at the East West Shrine Game, Jackson struggled today. No doubt possessing the size that NFL teams love, Jackson looked out of place athletically today. He did not show the quickness, body control and agility that NFL teams want to see.
