Nick Fairley back to work for Lions

Not only did Titus Young return to OTA’s for the Detroit Lions today, Nick Fairley is also present for the workout.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported the defensive tackle, arrested over the weekend and charged with DUI and attempting to elude police, showed up for the workout. Fairley, who was captured with a big grin on his face in the police mug shot, was traveling in excess of 100 mph when he passed a state trooper. It is his second arrest this offseason as last month he was charged with marijuana possession.

Young returned to OTA’s after no-showing last week following his fracas with teammate Louis Delmas. He released a statement through the team’s Web site earlier this morning.

It’s good to know the players are back to work. Hopefully, they can keep the focus on football and not the off-the-field trouble that seems to be following the Lions closely these days.
