No immediate deal for Chris Johnson after Jets visit

Veteran free agent running back Chris Johnson didn't immediately reach a deal after visiting the New York Jets.

The former Tennessee Titans star talked with reporters after the visit while attending the Brooklyn Nets-New York Knicks game.

Johnson said he plans to visit other teams.

Although Johnson didn't say where he's going, the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins have been linked to Johnson.

"I'm just taking it one day at a time, taking my time, and whatever decision I make, it will be the best decision," Johnson said. "You know, I'm just taking it one day at a time, that's all I'm going to say."

Johnson was recently cut by the Titans after efforts to trade him were unsuccessful.

Johnson was due an $8 million base salary.

The Titans signed Johnson to a four-year, $53.5 million contract in 2011.

However, he hasn't had the same type of success since signing the deal.

Johnson has rushed for 7,965 yards and 50 touchdowns since being drafted by the Titans in the first round in 2008 out of East Carolina.
