No lineup changes yet for Titans
Chris Johnson will remain the Tennessee Titans starting running back despite a paltry 21 yards in two games.
There will be no changes on his offensive line, and Jake Locker will stay as the starting quarterback as Tennessee coach Mike Munchak and his staff try to figure out how to jumpstart a team that has been blown out twice in two games.
“You guys are trying to bench everybody after two games," Munchak said with a smile after being asked about Chris Johnson following questions of several other players whose play had been less than stellar.
Munchak said via TitanInsider that CJ has to get things going, and that that goes for the entire offense. Johnson has had 19 rushes in two games.
“To me, I don't look at it any differently than anything. We have to get a spark. At some point, we have to get something going,” Munchak said. “We have to start making plays. He's a guy that we expect to do that. It's just been more of a passing game than a running game after two games. He just had eight carries. We have a lot of work ahead. It's not all CJ, so we're not gonna bench a running back over where we're at right now on offense. I would have to bench a lot of people if I was going to bench everybody by how we're playing.”
