No players selected in NFL supplemental draft
No players were selected in the NFL supplemental draft today.
It marks the second consecutive year that no players were drafted in the supplemental draft.
All four players who were eligible are now undrafted free agents who can sign with any team.
The group includes massive Virginia-Lynchburg defensive tackle Lakendrick Ross, SMU running back Traylon Shead, North Carolina linebacker Darius Lipford and New Mexico wide receiver-running back Chase Clayton.
Ross has excellent size at 6-foot-5, 360 pounds and has bench pressed 225 pounds 47 times. He's athletic enough to dunk a basketball, but has had eligibility issues and needs coaching.
Clayton averaged 30.4 yards per kickoff return two years ago.
Shead is a 240-pounder who rushed for three touchdowns and 197 yards last season.
Lipford returned last season from a major knee injury suffered two years ago.
