No question about it, Michael Vick will start Sunday
Michael Vick has been listed as questionable by the Philadelphia Eagles for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
There isn’t anything questionable about. Vick will start a week after the quarterback was knocked out of last Sunday’s loss at the Atlanta Falcons in the Georgia Dome with a mild concussion.
“There's no reason to think I won't play," Vick said this afternoon, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. "After havng two good days of practice, I am optimistic and I am looking forward to playing the New York Football Giants.
"I feel good. Nothing feels different. I worked myself back into playing shape and feel ready to go."
Vick has practiced for two days and he has cleared all of the medical tests needed to make a return to the playing field.
Per the report, the team is working on getting Vick to wear a mouthpiece this week. He was not wearing one when he was injured. There will not be any modifications to his helmet however.
"You have to be concsious and take it seriously and I do," Vick said. "I feel lke everthing happens for a reason. If it wasn't meant for me to be on the field this weekend, then I wouldn't feel as good as I do."
