No surprise, Cardinals cut Levi Brown loose

The Arizona Cardinals made the move everyone was expecting.

Just before the start of the new league year, the club announced that left tackle Levi Brown has been released. He instantly becomes a quality option for teams seeking help on the offensive line in free agency.

The first-round draft pick from 2007 performed well for the Cardinals and the decision was driven by salary-cap reasons. The Cardinals were hoping to restructure the contract but that didn’t happen.
