North Carolina Central defensive back Ryan Smith is a fast-rising NFL draft prospect. Smith has private workouts with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. He has visits with the Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings. The All-Mid-Eastern Conference selection ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds at the NFL scouting combine with a 36-inch vertical leap, a 10-2 broad jump, a 6.88 three-cone drill and bench pressed 225 pounds 18 times.
