Ohio State corner Doran Grant visiting Steelers today

Ohio State All-Big Ten Conference cornerback Doran Grant is visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers today. Utah cornerback-safety Eric Rowe and North Dakota State defensive end Kyle Emanuel are also visiting the Steelers. He has visited the New York Giantsand Houston Texans and has also worked out for the Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to sources. Grant is an athletic 5-foot-10, 200-pound cornerback who has positional flexibility with some teams viewing him as a potential cornerback-safety.  Grant has drawn high marks for his athleticism and intelligence. He's drawn third-round grades from NFL draft analysts. At the NFL scouting combine, Grant ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times with a 33-inch vertical leap and a 9-8 broad jump. At his Pro Day workout, he had a 35 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-5 broad jump, a 4.18 three-cone drill and a 7.04 20-yard shuttle.Every NFL team was at the Pro Day, including Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and Detroit Lions general manager Martin Mayhew. Grant was a first-team All-Big Ten selection last season. He's started 30 games over the past three seasons. Grant had 63 tackles and five interceptions last season with 14 passes defended. As a junior, he was an All-Big Ten honorable-mention selection who had 58 tackles, two for losses, 13 passes defended and three interceptions.
