Oklahoma State Quarterback Zac Robinson
Zac Robinson: No. 11, QB, 6-3, 200
A savvy athlete who has the ability to move around in the pocket and keep plays alive with his feet, Robinson displays good balance in the pass game and does a nice job looking off defenders, manipulating coverages and quickly aligning his footwork with the throw. He's accurate underneath and knows how to throw receivers open in the short/intermediate passing game. He lacks ideal arm strength and relies on his touch and accuracy downfield. He struggles fitting the ball into tight spots and lacks zip outside the numbers. He needs to throw with his legs. Balls tend to flutter on him when he is asked to make plays when he isn't set and he doesn't have the skill set to make all the throws needed at the next level.
Robinson takes a majority of his snaps from the gun but has some experience under center. He'll need to learn to call his own audibles at the line of scrimmage. Most of his pre-snap reads at the college level were made by the coaching staff. He has a tendency to get fidgety in the pocket in the face of pressure, which causes his eye level to drop and takes away the chance for big plays once he breaks containment. Overall, he lacks ideal arm strength and doesn't have the ability to force the opposition to defend the entire field. He doesn't look like anything more than a fringe roster guy.
