Ole Miss Defensive End Greg Hardy

Greg Hardy: No. 86, DE, 6-4, 265

Hardy is one of the nation's best pass rushers when he wants to be. He showcases a good first step off the snap, but it's his lateral quickness, strength and violent hands that make him so tough to block. He does a nice job dropping his shoulder once he gains a step and then driving his way toward the quarterback. He isn't overly fluid but has a nice spin move. He has the ability to play violently vs. the run game as well. Hardy uses his hands well to create space on his punch and can consistently shed blocks. He's a physical wrap-up tackler with an explosive element to his game. But his motor runs hot and cold, and at times he looks disinterested. He's content to be blocked, can be soft vs. the run and occasionally loses his passion. He has also earned some character concerns about being "soft" and a "diva." The talent is there, but is he worth the risk?

Grade: 6.5
