Osweiler sets private workouts
Last year at this time, there were a couple of quarterbacks who rose quickly in the eyes of so-called draft experts and a few teams.
Christian Ponder made a late rise to the point where the Minnesota Vikings made him a first-round pick. Colin Kaepernick went from mid-round project to a second-round selection by the San Francisco 49ers.
This year, the trendy flavor appears to be Arizona State quarterback Brock Osweiler, who will hold private workouts for a number of teams, including the quarterback-needy Miami Dolphins, according to the Miami Herald.
According to the report, Osweiler will also work out in private sessions for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. It will be interesting to see if one of those teams or someone else falls in love with the 6-7 quarterback, who only a few weeks ago was regarded as a middle-round prospect.
