Overtime is Tebow time for Broncos
Overtime was Tebow Time as the Denver Broncos quarterback fired an 80-yard touchdown pass to receiver Demaryius Thomas who stiff-armed Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ike Taylor and outran safety Ryan Mundy to the end zone for a touchdown and a 29-23 victory just 11 seconds into OT.
The win sends the Broncos (9-8) to New England for the AFC Divisional Playoffs next week, and helped Tebow snap a three-game slump with one of his stronger games of the season. He completed 10 of 21 passes, but threw for 316 yards with two touchdown passes and also added a rushing touchdown.
Tebow showed some of his midseason moxie that had been missing during the Broncos' three-game losing streak that dropped them to 8-8 in the regular season and caused them to back into the AFC West crown when Oakland lost on the final week of the season.
Thomas caught four passes for 204 yards in the game.
The Broncos built a 20-6 halftime lead, but the Steelers rallied, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 23-all and force overtime, where Tebow worked his regular-season magic, this time in the playoffs.
