Packers announce new contract for safety Charlie Peprah
A.J. Hawk isn’t the only contributor on defense that the Green Bay Packers locked up on Thursday before the end of the league year.
Along with announcing the extension for coach Mike McCarthy, the club announced that safety Charlie Peprah has signed a new deal. Terms were not disclosed.
Peprah made a career-high 11 starts at strong safety and had career highs in tackles (64), passes defended (7) and interceptions (2). He led the defense with 10 tackles in the Super Bowl XLV victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Peprah has also been considered a core special teams performer for the Packers.
