Packers finalize strength and conditioning staff

The Green Bay Packers have finished restructuring their strength and conditioning staff a day after Dave “Red Man” Redding retired from the club following 24 seasons in the NFL.

Mark Lovat had taken the head role from Redding this past season and Lovat will remain in that position. Thadeus Jackson will return for a second season as a strength and conditioning assistant.

The Packers have hired Zac Woodfin as an assistant. Previously, he worked at Athletes Performance in Los Angeles and his background was in helping players prepare for the scouting combine. Woodfin spent time with the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2005 after he became the all-time leading tackler as a linebacker at UAB. He spent time on the team’s practice squad that year and also had stops in Baltimore and New Orleans.
