Packers make an addition at tight end
The Green Bay Packers have made an addition in free agency, agreeing to terms with tight end Matthew Mulligan on a one-year contract.
Mulligan was a street free agent and he comes from the St. Louis Rams where he was primarily a blocking tight end. That is the role he will be asked to fill in Green Bay, which lost Tom Crabtree to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Mulligan visited the Packers early last week and chose them over an offer from the San Francisco 49ers.
The Rams signed Mulligan to a two-year contract a year ago but they have revamped the position by adding Jared Cook via free agency.
