Packers match $2.55 million offer sheet for Sean Richardson
The Green Bay Packers have matched the Oakland Raiders' $2.55 million offer sheet for restricted free agent safety Sean Richardson.
Richardson got the low tender, so the Packers wouldn't have gotten a draft pick if they didn't match.
The Packers had until Monday to match the offer or lose Richardson.
Richardson played in every game last season.
He has 36 tackles in three NFL seasons.
Richardson went undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2012.
He had spinal fusion surgery in 2013.
