Packers officially announce Tauscher's return
The Green Bay Packers made it official this afternoon as they officially announced the re-signing of veteran right tackle Mark Tauscher to a two-year contract.
Tausher’s return during the middle of last season helped fortify a line that was getting overrun, and now he and veteran left tackle Chad Clifton can continue what has been a unique pairing for a decade.
"Mark has been a consistent player for us and we are excited to reach this agreement," general manager Ted Thompson said in a statement released by the team. "He is a leader in our locker room and a fine representative of the team throughout his home state."
Tauscher was a seventh-round pick by the Packers in 2000. He’s played in 130 games and has 128 starts.
