Packers promote Atari Bigby from PUP list
The Green Bay Packers have an extra body for their defense for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys as the team has promoted veteran safety Atari Bigby from the physically unable to perform list.
Bigby, who skipped the offseason program because he was upset over the tender he received as a restricted free agent, had ankle surgery in August. He takes the roster space that was cleared earlier this week when the team released defensive lineman Mike Montgomery.
The Packers have yet to announce their intentions for veteran cornerback Al Harris, who is also on PUP. He suffered a torn ACL last season and has been working to come back. Harris began practicing following Week 6 and the team has until Monday to make a decision on what to do with him.
Rookie running back James Starks is in the same situation as Harris.
