Packers WR Greg Jennings will be back before playoffs

The Green Bay Packers have received excellent news when it comes to wide receiver Greg Jennings, who left Sunday’s blowout victory over the Oakland Raiders at Lambeau Field on a cart.

Any time that happens, there’s considerable fear but Jennings and the Packers can rest easy as coach Mike McCarthy announced at his press conference this afternoon that the Pro Bowl performer will be back before the playoffs begin.

Couple weeks,” McCarthy said, according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee. “Last time I added it up, that's two to three weeks.”

Last time we added that up, when considering the possibilities, that’s a best-case scenario for the Packers. Jennings is the top receiver for quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his presence allows the complementary targets to shine also. From the sounds of things, the Packers will be full strength by the time the second season rolls around.
