Palmer: Titans won't see the old Britt this year

Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt has played OK in his return to the field this season, but he has not been anywhere near the Britt who was a dominant player before tearing his ACL in week three last year.

“I don't think you'll see Kenny Britt 100 percent until next year. The history of that injury is one that it takes time,” Palmer said to TitanInsider. “In my 22 years in the league, very, very seldom does a guy come back and is 100 percent. That's doesn't mean that they're not good players and they don't play well, but the Kenny Britt that I saw last year, he's not back yet. He's playing well and he's doing what he can do under the circumstances.”

Britt has 27 catches for 312 yards and has no 100-yard receiving games this season. Last year in just two-and-a-half games, he had 17 receptions for 289 yards and three scores.

“I don't know if it's more frustrating to him or more frustrating to the coaches. You have a talent, and you're counting on this guy, and it's like everything, you just have to live through that period of time until he is fully recovered,” Palmer said.
