Panthers considering Mike Shula as QB coach
The Carolina Panthers are still working to put the finishing touches on their new coaching staff, and they met with John Matsko, a candidate to coach the offensive line on Wednesday.
Matsko was fired by the Baltimore Ravens, but it didn’t take any time for him to get on the Panthers’ radar. The Panthers have also interviewed Mike Shula for their vacant quarterbacks coach position, according to Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer.
Shula has spent the last four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rob Chudzinski has been hired as the offensive coordinator, but the Panthers have not pieced together any other parts yet on the offensive staff.
