Panthers cut Armanti Edwards

The Carolina Panthers have waived wide receiver Armanti Edwards, a former third-round draft pick.

Edwards caught only five passes for 121 yards with 36 punt returns for 253 yards and 15 kickoff returns for 295 yards.

A star quarterback at Appalachian State, was converted to wide receiver as a rookie.

The Panthers signed wide receiver Toney Clemons to the practice squad and cut wide receiver Cordell Roberson from the practice squad.
