Panthers cut Dwan Edwards

The Carolina Panthers cut defensive tackle Dwan Edwards. Edwards was due a $1.6 million base salary and roster bonus total. They get $500,000 in dead money. Edwards is a former Baltimore Ravens second-round draft pick. Edwards was a backup for defensive tackles Kawann Short and Star Lotulelei.
