Panthers sign Chris Houston to one-year deal

The Carolina Panthers have signed veteran cornerback Chris Houston to a one-year deal. Houston has previous stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions. He's a former Falcons second-round draft pick from Arkansas. Houston was cut by the Lions due to a toe injury. The Falcons traded Houston to the Lions in 2010 for a sixth-round draft pick in 2010 and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2011.
