Panthers sign Chris Ogbonnaya

The Carolina Panthers signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya.

Ogbonnaya has rushed for 660 career yards and one touchdown in five NFL seasons.

He's caught 96 passes for 714 yards and two touchdowns.

He was cut by the Cleveland Browns in August.

The Panthers are dealing with several injuries at running back, including DeAngelo Williams' sprained ankle and Jonathan Stewart's knee injury.

The Panthers cut Tauren Poole, who fumbled in a loss to the Ravens.

The Panthers reinstated defensive end Frank Alexander, who had been suspended for the first four games of the regular season.
