Panthers sign draft picks Kelvin Benjamin, Trai Turner

The Carolina Panthers signed first-round wide receiver and third-round offensive guard Trai Turner.

Benjamin is a 6-foot-5, 241-pounder from Florida State.

He caught 54 passes for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, including the game-winning touchdown in the BCS national championship game win over Auburn.

With Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell no longer on the roster, Benjamin may become a starter right away.

Turner started 20 games at offensive guard at LSU in two season.

The athletic 6-foot-3, 316-pounder is expected to compete for immediate playing time.
