Patriots cut Brandon Spikes following car accident

The New England Patriots have cut veteran linebacker Brandon Spikes, the team announced. Spikes' car was found abandoned with front-end damage near Foxborough, Mass. Spikes' Mercedes Maybach was found in the median. The driver of the car reported hitting a deer, but the driver wasn't there and no deer was found. And police found a car that was rear-ended in the same area. The people, who were hospitalized, say they were rear-ended by an unseen car. Obviously, the Patriots think that Spikes rear-ended the car and acted irresponsibly. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
