Patriots cut Leonard Johnson

The New England Patriots cut veteran defensive back Leonard Johnson. Johnson, 25, was signed in December after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers off injured reserve. Johnson started three games for New England and had seven tackles and three passes defended. Johnson has 146 tackles, five interceptions and two touchdowns and 23 passes defended with four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery.
