Patriots cut safety Don Jones
The New England Patriots released safety Don Jones on Thanksgiving.
It's a curious move considering that he has seven speical-teams takcles in nine games.
Jones was claimed off waivers in September from the Miami Dolphins.
Jones is a former Dolphins seventh-round draft pick from Arkansas State.
He played in all 16 games as a rookie with the Dolphins and led the team with 11 special teams tackles.
