Patriots fortify line with Shaun Ellis

The draft pick the New England Patriots gave up to get Bill Belichick has returned to the Patriots.

The Jets selected the defensive end in the first round in 2000 with the compensatory pick they were awarded from the Patriots for Belichick hopping organizations. Now, the longest-tenured member of the Jets has hopped franchises himself.
