Patriots promote Kanorris Davis, Ja'Gared Davis to active roseter

The New England Patriots promoted rookie linebacker Ja’Gared Davis and rookie safety Kanorris Davis from the practice squad to the active roster, occupying a pair of open roster spots after placing Vince Wilfork on injured reserve and cutting tight end Zach Sudfeld.

Both are expected to contribute on special teams against the Cincinnati Bengals if they're active.

The Patriots cut cornerback Marquice Cole on Friday.

Ja'Gared Davis has a previous stint with the Houston Texans.

Kanorris Davis has been off and on the practice squad.
