Patriots release DT Wright
When Mike Wright was healthy he was a solid player for the New England Patriots.
But after battling concussion problems the past two seasons, the Patriots announced Wednesday they had released the defensive tackle who first joined them in 2005 as an undrafted free agent from the University of Cincinnati.
Wright had 15 sacks in his career as a Patriot, but did not play after the season opener this year due to the efffects of a concussion.
The Patriots also released guard Rich Ohrnberger, a fourth-round pick from 2009, who played in just five games for New England and also ended 2011 on IR.
