Patriots sign first-round pick Malcom Brown
The New England Patriots have signed first-round defensive tackle Malcom Brown to a four-year contract that includes a fifth-year team option.
Brown was drafted 32nd overall out of Texas.
Brown should help the Patriots make up for the loss of Vince Wilfork, who was cut and signed with the Houston Texans.
"I'm not here to replace anybody," Brown said this wek. "Vince was a great player, and obviously everybody sees that. But I'm not here to replace anybody, and whatever role the coaches give me, I'm going to take that role and play my best at it."
