Patriots to take a look at Shiancoe
The New England Patriots are planning to host tight end Visanthe Shiancoe for a visit today, according to NFL.com.
Shiancoe turned down a one-year, $1.2 million offer from the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the off-season, but is still looking for a team with training camps set to open next week.
The Patriots seem to be stockpiling tight ends, as they already have five on the roster, including Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, who figure to get the majority of the playing time if healthy
Shiancoe, 32, caught 36 passes for the Minnesota Vikings last season
