Percy Harvin had three TDs called back
For fantasy football folks that owned Percy Harvin, Monday was maddening.
The Seahawks star receiver had three potential touchdowns called back due to penalties. Not one, not two. Three.
Two of the non-touchdowns were on back-to-back plays in the first half. One was a rush on a zone-read play with Harvin lined up as a running back and the other was a quick pass that Harvin took into the end zone. The rush was negated due to holding and the reception was called back after Harvin was called for a false start.
The third potential score was a 41-yard bomb where Harvin was left wide open down the middle of the field. However, James Carpenter was called for a hold. It should be of note that while Harvin had three potential scores called back, only two would have counted since the first two were on back-to-back plays.
"I couldn't believe it," Harvin said after the game, via ESPN.com. "Everybody on the sideline was saying they've never seen that happen. We just had so many penalties tonight for whatever reason. We have to clean that up.”
Instead of ending the night with anywhere from 80-100 yards and two touchdowns, Harvin finished with four catches for 27 yards. Hey, the Seahawks were still able to win 27-17. That's what really matters, right?
