Percy Harvin meets with doctor for 2nd straight day
Facing a must-win game on Sunday in Chicago, the Minnesota Vikings face the possibility of being without their top playmaker in the passing game.
Percy Harvin missed practice again today, suffering from another bout of migraines. He also missed practice Wednesday.
According to a report by Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Harvin visited with a doctor today for the second consecutive day as they work to get the issue under control. His status for practice Friday and the game Sunday remains up in the air.
Harvin missed two practices last week and played Sunday, setting career highs with nine receptions for 126 yards in an overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
The Vikings are considering promoting wide receiver Sidney Rice from the physically unable to perform list. Obviously, if Harvin is sidelined they will have an even greater need for Rice. Childress said Rice practiced “very hard” today and they will see how his surgically repaired hip responds on Friday. They’re hoping Harvin feels much better too.
