Pete Carroll bounces another former player
Pete Carroll didn’t launch Lawrence Jackson quite as fast as he unloaded another former player, LenDale White, but he got rid of the former first-round draft pick just the same.
The Seahawks traded Jackson, the team’s first-round pick in 2008 and the 28th overall selection, to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft pick in 2011.
Considering that Carroll coach Jackson at USC, that doesn’t say much about Jackson. Carroll and first-year general manager John Schneider have been working to revamp the roster. Per Schneider, the Lions had been showing strong interest in Jackson for some time.
Jackson has 24 career starts over the last two seasons but hasn’t been the consistent pass rusher Seattle was hoping he would become. He had 4
