Peterson: Jaguars would have been terrible without MJD
Maurice Jones-Drew has a fan in Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who told a <a href="http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Notebook_Jared_Allen_doesnt_have_sack_total_in_mind_for_2012_season090612" target="_blank">local radio station in Minnesota, 1500ESPN that the Jacksonville Jaguars would not have been so good this year without their start running back.
Jones-Drew held out all of preseason and camp, finally reporting to the team on Sunday.
"He was their whole offense last year. So, without him, the Jaguars would have been terrible just to be honest," Peterson said.
No word on whether or not Peterson made like basketball analysts Charles Barkley ("turrible") or Bill Walton ("teeerrrr-ibble") in his enunciation of the word, but I think the Jaguars get the gist of what he was trying to say. Of course, the ironic part here is that the Jags probably could have offered up the same analysis of the Vikings without Peterson this season too.
