The Denver Broncos are set to adjust star quarterback Peyton Manning's contract to reduce his base salary from $19 million to $15 million, according to ESPN.
The move is intended to create more salary-cap space for the AFC West club.
Manning is a five-time NFL Most Valuable Player.
To finalize the deal, Manning has to take and pass a physical within the next day.
Manning isn't expected to have a problem doing that.
