Philbin: Dolphins haven't discussed where Tannehill should go

The Miami Dolphins-Ryan Tannehill saga continues to take interesting pre-draft turns.

So many reports have conflicted as to whether the Dolphins are sold on the Texas A&M quarterback with the eighth pick in the draft and whether owner Stephen Ross is pushing them in that direction.

Now Dolphins coach Joe Philbin says to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that the Dolphins have not discussed whether Tannehill should be taken with their first-round pick.

Seriously? Sorry, we're not buying that one. Whether the Dolphins intend to take Tannehill or not is certainly a legitimate debate, but not discussing whether he is worthy of the pick?

We know there is plenty of draft posturing and fibbing going on in the week leading up to the draft. But if this had any remote truth to it, then it would be a big clue as to why the Dolphins have floundered so for the past few years.
