Pierre Thomas suffered torn ankle tendon
New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas will miss his seventh consecutive game today with what the team has maintained all along is a high ankle sprain.
Whether that is covering up the true nature of the injury, not telling the entire story, or if we’re splitting hairs, the fact is that Thomas suffered a torn tendon in his ankle in Week 3. That news was reported this morning by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Saints will be without Thomas today when New Orleans hosts the Seattle Seahawks in the Superdome. There is a possibility he will play Thursday at Dallas.
His loss has been difficult for the Saints to handle, and they’ve also been without Reggie Bush for more than half of the season.
