Pisa Tinoisamoa could return to Bears this week
The Chicago Bears know Pisa Tinoisamoa well, they just want to make sure his right knee checks out when they bring him in for a visit today.
Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports the team is expected to sign the 30-year-old linebacker if he passes a physical. Tinoisamoa spent the last two seasons with the Bears but has had at least three surgeries on the knee, including an arthroscopic procedure during last season and then another one after the season.
Tinoisamoa started 10 games at the strong side last season, and was playing at a high level through the first half of the season. Nick Roach is the team’s current starter.
The Bears are ranked 31st in the NFL on defense, and each of their first four opponents have rushed for 100 yards.
