Plaxico Burress now locked out
Plaxico Burress has officially gone from being locked up to locked out.
The veteran wide receiver was released from Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome, N.Y., this morning, a free man after 20 months in prison for violating the handgun laws of New York City.
“It's a beautiful day," Burress said, according to the New York Daily News. "It's a beautiful day to be reunited with my family. I want to go home and spend some quality time with them."
Burress was sporting a throwback Philadelphia Phillies hat prompting speculation he wants to land with the Eagles. He’s a free agent and where he goes will be the subject of great speculation. So will the debate of how valuable he will be at age 34.
"There are going to be multiple teams interested in signing him," agent Drew Rosenhaus said. "I expect him to get a good contract. I expect him to absolutely be playing."
