Polamalu fined $10k for cell phone
The NFL fined Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu $10,000 on Friday for using a cell phone on the sideline in last week's win over Jacksonville, according to ESPN.com and other outlets.
Polamalu made a phone call to his wife from the sideline to let her know that he was all right after suffering a concussion in the fourth quarter. Cell phone use on sidelines are prohibited by the NFL, but many believed that Polamalu was justified in his purpose for using it.
Guess the league didn't quite see it that way.
