Polian won't commit to Manning being back with Colts

Most of the talk surrounding the Indianapolis Colts for next year is whether the Colts will draft Andrew Luck, and whether or not the hotshot prospect can co-exist with injured star Peyton Manning.

On his weekly radio show Polian said he couldn't say for sure that Manning would be back in a Colts uniform next season.

"I don't know the answer to that," Polian said on the show via CBSSports.com. "There are so many variables involved that it's impossible to tell at this point in time. It's our fervent hope that he is. But I couldn't unequivocally give you an answer of yea or nay."

Manning won't play this season and has only recently resumed throwing as he rehabs from his third neck surgery in 19 months. The Colts can opt out of the contract extension Manning signed earlier this season, by declining to pay the $28 million Manning is owed in March.
