Police investigating if Falcons player trashed girlfriend's pad

Gwinnett County police are investigating if Atlanta Falcons cornerback Chris Owens destroyed property belonging to the mother of their 9-month-old child.

TMZ.com reports that Owens and his ex-girlfriend LaTia Terry allegedly got into an argument at her apartment Sunday night, fighting over a custody situation involving the child.

Per a police report, which you can review right here, Owens allegedly put holes in the wall of the apartment, broke the baby’s crib and broke electronic equipment as a flat screen television had holes in it.

The kicker? The report also alleges Owens gathered some of Terry’s belongings – including designer clothing, jewelry and photos – and drenched them in bleach. TMZ.com says Terry estimates the value of the damaged items at $15,000.

Terry has obtained a restraining order against Owens, a third-round draft pick in 2009. No charges have been filed.
