Police seek arrest warrant for Lions player
Police in Plymouth, Mich., are seeking an arrest warrant for a not-yet-identified Detroit Lions player who has been accused of inappropriate contact at a bar earlier this month.
Many Lions players went out to celebrate the end of the season, and one player allegedly touched a woman in an inappropriate manner. Police told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that a warrant was requested from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lions have declined comment on the matter. An attorney for the 22-year-old woman has already indicated that they plan to come forward with a civil lawsuit in the matter.
