Raiders cut Brian Sanford, promote Tyler Wilson

The Oakland Raiders cut veteran defensive lineman Brian Sanford, promoting quarterback Tyler Wilson to the active roster.

Sanford has been off and on the active roster.

The Raiders needed another quarterback with Terrelle Pryor ruled out with a sprained medial collateral ligament.

Wilson can back up Matt McGloin, who's set to make his first NFL start Sunday against the Houston Texans.
