Raiders cut Coye Francies, Travis Goethel
The Oakland Raiders have cut ties with a pair of veteran contributors.
They waived cornerback-kick returner Coye Francies with a failure to disclose physical condition designation. It's unclear what condition Francies apparently didn't share with the AFC West franchise.
And linebacker Travis Goethel was waived outright.
A former Cleveland Browns sixth-round draft pick, Francies had 475 kickoff return yards last season to lead the Raiders as he played in all but one game.
Goethel is a backup who played in half the games last season.
A former Raiders sixth-round pick, Goethel tore his anterior cruciate ligament against the Baltimore Ravens and has a history of knee injuries.
